Help for Heroes Charity Ball

A Leigh businessman has arranged a local charity ball to raise much-needed funds for the military charity, Help for Heroes. The event, taking place at The Boatyard on March 20, will comprise a welcome drink, four-course-meal with coffee, live bands and music, and a charity auction and raffle.

All proceeds raised will go to Help for Heroes and thus far, auction and raffle donations include a Tower of London ceramic poppy, a painting by Paul Karslake, jewellery from Terry Hatton jewellers, and a golf day for eight people.

Throughout the night, live local bands Indiana and The Avenue will be playing, as well as singers Darren and Ron Jones, Alex Crowhurst and Joe Gibson, making for an entertaining evening of fun. However, there is still a serious objective; to raise money for the UK military charity that gives practical, direct support to our current wounded.
